Pre-Procedure Instructions

For Permanent Eyeliner:
Do not wear mascara the day of your appointment.
Please remove contact lenses and wear glasses the day of and one day after your procedure.
Stop use of lash growth serums one month before your appointment.
It is advised to not schedule eyeliner procedures during pms/ period weeks. You can be more sensitive during these weeks.
Allow up to three hours for your appointment
For Permanent Lip Makeup:
Please exfoliate and wear moisturizer for one week prior to procedure. Removal of dry skin will result in better pigment retention.
Have your doctor prescribe you Valtrex or similar antiviral (14 days worth) to take 3 days before, the day of and 3 days after your procedure. It will be enough to last for two procedures. This will keep lips from getting cold sores which can push the pigment out.
Stay hydrated the week before your procedure.
Bring your favorite lip stick colors to your appointment for your artist to look at
It is advised to not schedule lip blush services during pms/ period weeks. You can be more sensitive during these weeks.
For All PMU Treatments:
Abstain from alcohol consumption 24 hours prior to treatment.
Stop the use of fish oil or vitamin E supplement one week prior to procedure.
Do Not Tan or lay out in the sun 2 weeks prior.
Abstain from waxing of eyebrow area 1 week prior to procedure.
Electrolysis treatment should be done no less than 5 days prior procedure.
Stop the use of AHA products and retinoids 2 weeks prior to procedure.
Stop any exfoliation or microdermabrasion treatments 2 weeks prior to procedure.
NO chemical peels or laser peels
6 weeks prior to procedure.
NO Botox or fillers
one week prior to procedure near the brows and four weeks prior for lip fillers.
Lash growth serums may make you heal lighter than normal, possibly requiring a second touch up. They can also make you bruise and swell more than normal. Please stop use of lash growth serums one month prior to service.
Post-Procedure Instructions

For All Treatments:
Rinse your eyebrows (lips/eyeliner) with cool water and gentle cleanser (Cetaphil) when you get home.
Pat dry gently with soft cloth, then apply a thin coat of skin protectant only if needed (provided at your appointment) no more than half a grain of rice per brow.
DO NOT SCRUB!
Within 24-48 hours after the procedure, continue to gently wash brows morning and night with Cetaphil cleanser, apply a thin coat of skin protectant only if needed.
Within 3-7 days of the procedure, continue to gently cleanse and use after care cream if needed.
During this time eyebrows will peel and/or itch. It is important to avoid scratching and continue to apply skin protectant as you feel needed. DO NOT PICK THE SKIN!
Within 7-14 days, continue to apply skin protectant as needed.
For brows do not wear a hat on top of the brows to hide the peeling. This could rub the flakes off and result in loss of pigment.
For eyeliner a clean cold ice pack can be used to reduce swelling.
For lips no kissing or any activities where lips will come into contact with another person until peeling is finished.
For lips you can drink through a straw. Avoid very hot and super spicey foods.

Important Reminders:
​
NO sweating. NO exercise for 10 days.
Sweating of any type will release sodium, which can prematurely fade the color of your eyebrows.
NO sauna or prolonged hot showers/ baths.
NO soaking or swimming in a pool or hot tub. NO swimming in the ocean or salt water pools. NO swimming in lakes or natural water bodies.
Remember you have small wounds.
NO sun tanning or salon tanning.
NO laser or chemical treatments or peelings, and/or any creams containing Retin-A or Glycolic Acid on the face near your brows for 30 days.
NO picking, peeling or scratching of the area in order to avoid scarring of the area or removal of the pigment.
NO performing tasks related to heavy household/work related cleaning, which will expose you to a lot of airborne debris or dust.
NO makeup applied directly to area treated area. Our makeup and makeup brushes can contain bacteria.

***Please remember that this procedure is to enhance your natural brows. It does not take the place of makeup. Small touch up with an eyebrow pencil may still be necessary.***
